Interferometry in Radioastronomy and Radar Techniques. by Wohlleben, Rudolf et al.: and a great selection of related books, art and collectibles available now at - Interferometry in Radioastronomy and Radar Techniques by Wohlleben, R ; Mattes, H ; Krichbaum, Th - . is for anyone who wants to learn more about astronomy events, cosmology, planets, galaxies, asteroids, astrophotography, the Big Bang, black holes.

In recent years aperture synthesis and interferometry have become very powerful tools in radioastronomy. Radar applications have also dramatically increased their quality by using the interferometry principle. This book describes in the first six, short chapters the basics of interferometry and aperture synthesis. Radar astronomy is a technique of observing nearby astronomical objects by reflecting microwaves off target objects and analyzing the reflections. This research has been conducted for six decades. Radar astronomy differs from radio astronomy in that the latter is a passive observation and the former an active one. Radar systems have been used for a wide range of solar system studies.
